Why can I make a claim?

An endowment mortgage is an interest only mortgage where you also pay an additional monthly premium to your endowment provider by way of an ‘investment’. The idea was that the ‘investment’ would increase so that you could pay off your mortgage and even have a windfall.

Millions were mis-sold their endowments. In other words, you were told things about this policy that was untrue, or the sales person failed to make everything crystal clear. Many people were told their endowments were guaranteed to pay off their mortgages, but this simply didn’t happen.
